FKA twigs Joins 645AR for New Song “Sum Bout U”: Watch the Video

Bronx-born, Atlanta-based rapper 645AR has shared a new song with FKA twigs. Yes, you read that correctly: the rising rapper and multi-hyphenate London artist have collaborated on a track called “Sum Bout U.” The song is produced by SenseiATL, with co-production by El Guincho. “Sum Bout U” arrives with an FKA twigs–conceived video directed by Aidan Zamiri. Today, FKA twigs kicked off a fundraiser that provides direct financial aid to strippers and sex workers by donating £10,000. The funds will be distributed between SWARM, Lysistrata, and East London Strippers Collective (ELSC). “I feel like now is the time for me to step forward, pay respect, and shine a light on the challenges facing sex workers, especially during these uncertain times,” she wrote on Instagram. “Sex workers I know and have met have discipline, craft, talent and work ethic—not only do they deserve better long-term, but their income has been wiped out by the lockdown and many are invisible to the financial aid available to others.” Read her full post below and check out the GoFundMe.

FKA twigs’ most recent album MAGDALENE was released last fall. This year, she’s collaborated with the mysterious producer Slingbaum, Nicolás Jaar, Headie One and Fred again.., the 1975, and Ty Dolla $ign.

645AR is known for his squeaky rap technique. He gained popularity last year with “Bible and a K,” following up with “4 Da Trap.” He’s since signed with Columbia Records, sharing the singles “In Love With a Stripper” and “Yoga.”
