FKA Twigs Dishes on Her Future Children

FKA twigs may march to the beat of her own drum, but she’s more traditional than you think. The 27-year-old, who is engaged to Robert Pattinson, opened up about her future plans to Paper magazine for their Nowstalgia issue and revealed that she’s all about those classic family values.

“I’m quite traditional,” she said. “You know that saying, ‘You can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl? I grew up in Gloucestershire, and there’s a certain format that people fit into. And I’m actually quite happy with that format. I’m quite happy to say, 'Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you’re in the right catchment area.’”

The singer, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, also admitted that she’s driven to succeed for her future children (so, yes, presumably that means there could be little Pattinsons running around someday). “I do this because I want my children to have a nice life, and I want my children’s children to have a nice life,” she explained. “And I want my grandkids to be proud of what I’ve achieved.”

One thing that probably isn’t in FKA twigs’s future? Joining Taylor Swift’s girl squad. Check out the video to hear what she told the mag about the pop star and tune in to The Insider With Yahoo on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
