Five things to do with your family this weekend: Dec. 8-10

Dec. 7—Looking for something to do with your family this weekend? Check out these activities around the Valley:

1. Go to Selinsgrove for a Festive Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. St. Nick will be at the First National Bank parking lot, 2 S. Market St., with his reindeer for children to visit. There will also be kids activities downtown for guests to enjoy while checking items off their holiday lists. More information is available at discoverselinsgrove.com.

2. Venture out to the Campus Theatre, 413 Market St., Lewisburg, Saturday to see Santa and catch a free holiday movie. Santa will be visiting with children from noon until 2 p.m. and then there will be a free showing of "Frosty the Snowman" and "The Year Without a Santa Claus." If you can't make it on Saturday, Campus Theatre will also host a free showing of "The Muppet Christmas Carol" at noon on Sunday. Check out campustheatre.org for more information.

3. The Conservatory of Extraordinary Dance will present its production of "The Nutcracker" at St. Joseph School, 1027 Ferry St., Danville, on Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dancers will bring the classic winter tale to life in a show sure to entertain all ages. 4. Light up your Saturday night in Riverside. The borough is holding its annual Parade of Lights starting at 5:30 p.m. at the former Riverside Elementary School (Ave A and 5th Street), the parade will travel right on Line Street, then Gearhart Street and then turn left on Montour Street where Santa will visit with guests at Riverside Park. 5. Head to a Christmas Party for a Cause at the Danville Ballroom, 249 Mill St., on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event, benefiting The Bigger Opportunities program and the Danville Community Christmas Tree, features children's activities, visits with Santa, raffles and a gift shop.
