'Five Nights at Freddy's 2' Is Officially in the Works

It's official -- a sequel to the horror-thriller Five Nights at Freddy's is currently in the works at Universal. In partnership with Blumhouse Productions, the studios confirmed the arrival Five Nights at Freddy's 2 at the recent Cinema Con.

More is to come from the Chuck E. Cheese-inspired establishment, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The movie was adapted last October from the popular video game of the same name. A big success at the global box office making $297 million USD, it was Blumhouse Production's highest-grossing film of all time. Considering it was a low-budget production with a lot of negative reviews, the film did quite alright. the film benefitted from its PG-13 rating and its prime Halloween release date. In a previous post on X, Jason Blum shared taht the film was in the works since 2015.

Not much news has been revealed regarding the plot line for the upcoming film but Josh Hutcherson, who starred in the original as the nighttime security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has previously expressed interest in returning for the sequel. Stay tuned for more information.
