5 Cameos We Want to See in ‘Star Trek: Discovery’

In 2015, it was announced that Star Trek: Discovery would be the next television series in the beloved sci-fi franchise, scheduled to debut in January 2017. But more than two years later, delays continue to push the show’s premiere back.

In an interview with Collider, co-creator and executive producer Alex Kurtzman said of the delay, “We postponed our schedule because the truth is we did not want to put out something that was subpar, and as the vision expanded we started feeling like we weren’t gonna be able to deliver the scope and the scale that was on the page.”

Kurtzman also noted that given that so many actors are Star Trek fans, he’s gotten a lot of requests from celebrities to do cameos.

So we decided to put together a list of the top five Star Trek: Discovery cameos we want to see. Though the timeline for the new series is set 10 years before the original series, anything’s possible in the Star Trek universe, so whether it’s time travel, aging rays, or just coming back as totally different characters, there’s no reason these actors couldn’t be seen again.
