First United Methodist to host organ concerts
Dec. 1—The First United Methodist Church of Austin, located at 204 First Avenue NW, has announced a trio of December organ concerts featuring local musicians.
The first will be on Dec. 6 and will include soloist Coni Nelson and organist Susan Hays of First United Methodist Church. On Dec. 13 Director of Music and Worship Brian Williams, of St. Olaf Lutheran Church will perform.
The concerts will be wrapped with Scott Blankenbaker of the Riverland Community College Music Department and director of the Austin CommUNITY Choir on Dec. 20 with carol singing to go along with the organ music.
All three shows will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on each of these Wednesdays.
There will also be a bake sale and the shows are sponsored by the Mission Outreach committee.
