The first footage of Joker: Folie à Deux has finally landed. The Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga-fronted film's debut teaser has surfaced at last, with its first full-length trailer expected to release later tonight.

Phoenix's Arthur Fleck is seen standing in the yard – of what fans suspect to be the Arkham Asylym – laughing as the rain pours on him. The camera pans closer to Fleck as he continues laughing aggresively.

The teaser is short – just under 30 seconds long – and closes out with an announcement for tonight's trailer.

Alongside Phoenix as Fleck and Gaga as Harley Quinn, Zazie Beetz will reprise her role of Arthur’s former neighbor Sophie Dumond from the first film, along with Steve Coogan, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener. The film is set to premiere on October 4, 2024.

Stream the teaser in the gallery above and keep at eye out for the full trailer, which is slated to drop in full later tonight, April 9, at 9:30 p.m. ET.
