First-Ever Male NFL Cheerleaders Are Headed to Super Bowl: ‘You Think Atlanta Is Ready for Us?’
The first-ever male NFL cheerleaders are heading to the Super Bowl.
After making history at the start of the season in 2018, Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies are about to become the first male cheerleaders to ever perform at a Super Bowl.
The Los Angeles Rams secured their spot at Super Bowl LIII in a win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday — winning 26-23. They took the lead with an overtime field goal.

After the victory, both Peron and Jinnies used Twitter to confirm their upcoming historic moment and share their excitement.
Wrote Jinnies, “2018 first male cheerleaders in the NFL. 2019 first male cheerleaders dancing at the Super Bowl. I can’t breathe.”

Peron called out to his fellow cheerleader, writing “Aye Napoleon, you think Atlanta is ready for us? …WE’RE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL.”

In 2018, the two classically trained dancers from California first made their mark when they were selected to join the Rams squad after enduring an intense audition process.
The pair had been friends from their college days, Fast Company reported, and were surprised to see each other at the beginning of the auditions.
“I walked up to him and said, ‘Hey, no matter what happens, we’re doing this for us and for the boys,’ ” Peron told the outlet. “From the beginning, we were like, ‘We’re going to do this together.’ “
Some NFL franchises have male stunt teams, but these men never danced alongside the professional female cheerleaders. Peron and Jinnies were the first to do so.
When news broke of the new additions to the squad, LA Rams cheer captain Emily Leibert appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America with Peron and Jinnies.

“They really just fit the bill to be a Los Angeles Rams cheerleader,” Leibert said. “They bring so much energy and there’s something magnetic about their performance. You really can’t take your eyes off them.”
The Super Bowl will take place on Feb. 3 — with Peron and Jinnies helping lead the cheers for the Rams as they go head-to-head with the New England Patriots. The Patriots find themselves on the big stage for the third time in a row after beating out the Kansas City Chiefs, 37-31, on Sunday.
