Katy Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom celebrated the birth of their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August. On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Monday night, she revealed that her first taste of being a mother was surprisingly less glamorous than she had hoped.

“What I will tell you [is] nobody talks about the first six weeks after you have a baby,” said Perry. “Oh, my God! What a roller coaster!”

While Perry continued to perform leading up to both the birth of her first baby and the release of her fifth album “Smile,” she admitted that it was strange celebrating them both in a hospital bed.

“I was giving birth to the greatest gift of all,” said Perry. “And then my album came out the next day, and I was in the hospital and I could not wipe my own butt.” Later adding, “I was like, this is the most unusual album release day for me, and I love it.”
