Firefighter’s Personality the Best Dish on ‘MasterChef’

The seventh season of MasterChef kicked off Wednesday night with a bunch of amateur cooks trying to become real chefs. People squared off against one another in head-to-head battles for the chance to wear the coveted white apron. One group had four firefighters from across the country facing off for only two aprons. All the guys made amazing dishes, but one firefighter’s personality was the best dish of the night.

Manny, from Orlando, Fla., walked into the kitchen with his confidence bubbling over and a positive energy that filled the room like the aroma from a delicious meal. Manny loves to eat as much as he loves to cook and joked about his big belly by saying, “I didn’t get big like this on magic, you know, it takes work.” Since he is a firefighter, Manny still has to be in good shape, and when Gordon Ramsay asked what part of his body he worked out, Manny responded with, “You know, I work on my ab. I have one ab. Bam, baby!”
