Fine Arts Association's Women's Committee plans February luncheon

Jan. 16—The Feb. 14 program luncheon sponsored by The Women's Committee of The Fine Arts Association will be "Queen of Ohio, High Priestess of Fraudulent Finance."

Cassie Chadwick defrauded American banks out of millions of dollars during the late 1800s and early 1900s by claiming to be an illegitimate daughter and heiress of the Scottish-American industrialist Andrew Carnegie. She was described as one of the greatest con artists in American history during a time when women were not allowed to vote or get loans.

The menu is Chicken a' la Tosca with potato gnocchi, Caesar salad and Valentine dessert.

The program begins at 11 a.m. at The Fine Arts Association, 38660 Mentor Ave. in Willoughby followed by the luncheon at noon.

The cost is $15 per member; $20 per non-member; and $10 for program only. Email: WCFineArts@yahoo.com or call 440-251-1629.

Reservations are required for the program luncheon by Feb. 9 and must be paid for unless canceled prior to Feb. 9. No reservation is necessary for "program only" with all admissions payable by check or cash at the door.
