Final music festival honours murdered woman
An annual music festival in honour of a young woman who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend is taking place for the last time.
The final MollyFest is being held at Old Gravesendians Rugby Football Club in Gravesend, Kent, on Saturday.
It is taking place to remember Molly McLaren, 23, who was stabbed 75 times in the car park of Dockside Retail Outlet in Chatham in June 2017.
Her father, Doug McLaren, who is also winding up the Molly McLaren Foundation, told the BBC earlier this month the charity had "achieved a lot" but the "revenue is not there".
The Molly McLaren Foundation was set up by friends and family to provide advice and funding for those with eating disorders.
Ms McLaren, from Cobham, who struggled with bulimia, had been writing a blog about her experiences to help others before she was killed.
The final MollyFest will see performances from local DJs and bands on Saturday.
"We've done a lot for charity, we've done a lot for Molly, we've achieved a lot," said Mr McLaren.
Joshua Stimpson, who was 26 at the time of his conviction, admitted manslaughter but denied murder before his trial in 2018.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 26 years in prison.
