when all the rest did so well, the hanlon character who stayed in derry and restricted his life to monitor IT, had all the pathos needed. he spent his life waiting. why make him a junkie? he kept the history, that was his function.
Just read the damn book. It's better than the movie.

They did a great job considering its a long time after the original of which I have always loved. I believer Bill Skarsguard's Pennywise was portrayed very well for someone only 27 years old. Tim Curry reigning Pennywise was a master but I feel even he would be proud of Skarsguard!
I think the only problem with the sequel is how hard it's going to be to find adults actors who are as good as these kids. They were amazing
Nothing will beat the book... learn to read.
The original mini series gave me my fear of clowns. So, of course I had to see this one. Thought it was really good. The kids had great dialogue, and Pennywise looked more scary than the original. Can't wait for part 2...
The first half is about kids facing their worst fears. The second half is about middle-aged adults. If they don't do flashbacks, the second half will seem dull by comparison.

Not a fan of some of the changes it sounds like he's making. Please don't make mike a "junkie" and all that. Stop trying to modernize it so much. Keep that simple feeling. The innocence of the time is one of the things that brings the feel
