Fifth Harmony Plays Their Final Show Before Going on Hiatus

It’s official — Fifth Harmony played their last show on Friday, May 11 in Florida after announcing the foursome was going on an indefinite hiatus back in March. To commemorate the occasion, the group posted some very sweet and sentimental messages to their social media accounts in order to thank Harmonizers everywhere — and each other.

The official 5H Twitter account honored the final show with a shoutout to fans. “We couldn’t have asked for a better show, thank you to everyone who came out tonight,” it said. “Florida, we love you! You’re forever in OUR hearts.”

Normani, who previously called the hiatus “heartbreaking,” posted a pic on Twitter of the foursome goofing backstage and wrote, “I love you more than you’ll ever know.” Normani has already released solo material — the song “Love Lies” with Khalid — and Ally, Dinah, and Lauren have also been featured on songs as of late.

Her bandmates followed suit, posting pics and sending love via their own channels, and consequently making millions of Harmonizers cry in the process. It’s clear that the girls really love each other — and their fans — but they’re all ready to take the next step in their careers.

The first big change for 5H was, of course, the departure of Camila Cabello in 2016. The band then announced its own hiatus in March, issuing a statement that said, “After six years going hard, non stop, we also realized that in order to stay authentic ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavors.” The statement went on to say, “We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals. In doing this we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family."

Thanks for all the music, Normani, Lauren, Ally, and Dinah Jane! We can’t wait to see what’s next for you...and if we get sad, we'll always have the bops.
