The "Anchorman" actor made a surprise appearance on Netflix's "Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady."

Ron Burgundy isn’t just a newscaster, he’s also Tom Brady’s biggest fan.

This weekend’s premiere of Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time included a surprise appearance from Will Ferrell who used his stage time to reprise the role of his beloved Anchorman character. Introduced as a "living legend, a world-class lover and the number one news anchor in all of Sunday," Burgundy soaked in the applause before turning his attention to the man of the hour: Tom Brady.

"My name is Ron Burgundy, I am a very big deal, but tonight is not about me,” he said, pausing to address a fan in the crowd with, “I love you too.”

He continued, “We are here to honor a champion of the gridiron. A great American, a father, and a sexy man. A true Patriot… until he was not, of course: Mr. Tom Brady. Holy s---, this man is gorgeous. I’ve seen him on TV before but in person — eechiowa!”

Ferrell as Burgundy then had to give himself a stern lecture about not getting distracted by Brady's "million watt smile," or getting lost in his eyes.

"Ron, pull it together. You’re a straight man," he reminded himself. "He’s making you question your sexuality, stop looking at him. You’re here to make fun of him, not fall in love, concentrate!"

Back on track, Burgundy continued, "I never liked you Tom. In all my years of watching professional football, I never saw a more boring quarterback." He later added, "He actually made me look forward to all the fun and laughter of a Bill Belichick postgame interview."

Burgundy’s jokes weren’t just limited to Brady’s professional life, he also took a few personal jabs at the former Patriots star: "The guys on Sports Center, some close personal friends of mine, used to praise Tom for his quick release," he said. "Not women, by the way. Women were not impressed by his quick release... The last time this guy went truly deep, he ended up paying child support to Bridget Moynahan.”

Lightening the mood later on, Burgundy referenced the slate of fellow roasters that included Kevin Hart, Jeff Ross, Bill Belichick, Kim Kardashian and more, to say,  "Tom, it’s clear, everybody up here loves you. I love you, although it might just be lust. Could be love, we’ll never know."

Adding that he was looking forward to the next chapter in Brady’s career, following his 2023 retirement, he said: “I mean, let’s be honest. Your best years are behind you, Tom. The Super Bowls, Gisele, your movie career, it’s all done, it’s all gone. But you won’t be forgotten. You’ll always be remembered as Eli Manning’s bitch.”

As if that wasn’t enough, Burgundy also put his people skills to use and led the crowd in chanting, "Tom Brady is Eli Manning’s bitch."

As part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady was streamed live and is not available to watch on the streamer.
