Felony drug and DUI arrests are up at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Felony drug arrests and DUI arrests are up from this time last year during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, according to data released by the Department of Public Safety on Thursday.

Felony drug arrests are up 17% from this time in 2021, according to DPS. DUI arrests are up 15%.

No fatal accidents were reported on the fifth day of the motorcycle rally, according to DPS. There were 21 injury accidents and nine non-injury accidents. There have been three fatal crashes during the rally so far as of Wednesday.

And $4,335 have been seized so far, according to DPS. Four vehicles were seized due to drug possession.
