Felicity Huffman Tears Up as She Enters Guilty Plea in College Admissions Scandal

UPDATE

12:35 PM PT — Felicity Huffman has officially pleaded guilty to paying $15,000 to a fake charity that helped her daughter fake her SAT score for college. She broke down in tears as she told the judge she was guilty of the crime she was charged with.

11:55 AM PT — Chris Villani, a reporter for Law360.com, is in the hearing and says the Assistant U.S. Attorney has told the judge they will be asking for “for four months in prison for Felicity Huffman and a $20,000 fine.”

Felicity Huffman held her head high as she entered a Boston courthouse to enter her not guilty plea and accept her fate for taking part in the infamous college admissions scandal.

The “Desperate Housewives” star was flanked by security when she arrived at the federal courthouse and arrived without husband William H. Macy by her side.

Huffman is expected to plead guilty, as she has already admitted, “I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.”

Huffman will probably not be sentenced for several weeks, but prosecutors are looking for her to serve several months in prison for paying scam honcho, Rick Singer, thousands of dollars to give her daughter a significant edge in the SAT exam.

Unlike Huffman, Lori Loughlin and her husband have entered pleas of not guilty, and plan to fight the charges from federal prosecutors.
