The government is not messing around with the stars involved in the alleged college admissions scandal, and has levied sizable bonds against Felicity Huffman and Mossimo Giannulli.

Sources inside the courtroom in Los Angeles tell The Blast Huffman just had her bond set at $250,000 after being charged with mail fraud and honest mail services fraud.

We’re told Huffman appeared calm in court, wearing a blazer and glasses with her hair pulled back. Her husband, William H. Macy, was also in court and agreed to be the signatory on his wife’s appearance bond, due to the couple’s sizeable amount of assets.

We’re told prosecutors also tried to restrict communication between Huffman and Macy, as the “Shameless” star may be considered a witness in the case, but that was shot down by the judge.

During the hearing, the judge scolded Huffman for her part in the alleged scandal, and referenced “bribery and dishonest behavior” as reasons for the serious charges.

Lori Loughlin’s husband, designer Mossimo Giannulli, was also in court but was slapped with a $1 million bond. We’re told Mossimo was also calm in the courtroom, and looked dapper in a charcoal gray sweatshirt.

To guarantee his bond, Mossimo was forced to use his residence as collateral.

Both Huffman and Mossimo were given a strict set of terms for their release, including surrendering their passports and keeping travel restricted to the U.S.

Loughlin, who has been trying to make it back to Los Angeles from Canada, was not present in court but it was discussed that she will still be able to travel to Canada for work purposes.

Sources close to the situation tell The Blast they believe the “Fuller House” star worked out a deal to surrender to authorities on Wednesday. As we reported, her attorney was trying to arrange a “safe passage” to avoid an airport arrest when she got back in town.

Huffman and Mossimo are still in custody as they work to pay their bonds, and both are due back in court in Boston on March 29.
