EARLIER:
Katt Williams and Mike Epps are the talk of the town in the comedy world right now, and each will have a lot to say during their respective tours to the Delaware area soon.
And so will many other comics set to perform in and around the First State this late winter and spring.
In addition to Epps (who performs in Philly on Saturday, Feb. 17) and Williams, here's a look at nine stand-up shows that plan to crack up comedy fans in the coming weeks.
What's up with Shannon Sharpe, Mike Epps and Katt Williams?
The quick and dirty version is that Williams broke the internet last month when he appeared on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast and took aim at several comedians including Kevin Hart. That episode has over 58 million on YouTube.
Epps, from "The Upshaws,'' is trending for feuding with Sharpe.
During a recent stand-up show, Epps joked that he'd been approached by Sharpe to come on "Club Shay Shay" and claimed the football Hall of Famer is gay and appeared ready to sexually assault Williams during the January interview that went viral.
On the Feb. 11 episode of the "Nightcap" podcast that Sharpe hosts with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Sharpe said Epps lied when he claimed Sharpe reached out to him to appear on his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.
On Feb. 12, Sharpe posted on X saying he and Epps have decided to meet to discuss their differences during NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis held Friday, Feb. 16 to Sunday, Feb. 18.
UNC and @TheRealMikeEpps have decided 2 have a man 2 man conversation in Indy at NBA all star weekend 2 discuss our differences. We both realize this situation could’ve been, should’ve been handled differently. I apologize 2 fam, friends, love 1s and my fans. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 #ClubShayShay

Moody McCarthy, Karen Bergreen, Shaun Eli — Wilmington
The "Ivy League of Comedy" will give its best class clown impression when Moody McCarthy, Karen Bergreen and Shaun Eli hit the stage. McCarthy has appeared on big programs like "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "Conan," while Bergreen has graced "The Jim Gaffigan Show" and "The View." Eli's sense of humor led him to getting profiled by the New York Times.

Katt Williams, Philadelphia
Katt Williams is arguably the hottest comedian in the game right now. The arena headliner was thrust into the national spotlight after he appeared in the comedy "Friday After Next" in 2002 where he portrayed the pimp Money Mike. From there, Williams would land in several projects over the years like "Black-ish" and "Atlanta." He's also known for voicing the role of A Pimp Named Slickback (that's the character's name) in the cartoon series "The Boondocks." In 2023, dancers racked up millions of views while performing the Jubi Slide dance to a song that sampled Williams' voice as Slickback.
The Liacouras Center (1776 N. Broad St., Philadelphia) at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 7. Tickets are $75 to $250-plus. Visit kattwilliamslive.com or (215) 204-2400.
Trey Kennedy, Wilmington
Before Instagram and TikTok focused on short-form video, there was a platform named Vine. Trey Kennedy blew up from Vine and attracted millions of followers. The Oklahoman, who didn't expect to become an entertainer, is now kidding around on his "Grow Up Comedy Tour."
The Grand (818 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18. Tickets are $45-$140. Visit thegrandwilmington.org or (302) 652-5577.

The Grand (818 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 20. Tickets are $49-$64. Visit thegrandwilmington.org or (302) 652-5577.
Lewis Black, Wilmington
He often looks grumpy like a "don't stand on my lawn" kind of guy. That's become a trademark of the 75-year-old Lewis Black, who’ll stop by Delaware on his farewell tour: "Goodbye Yeller Brick Road, The Final Tour." The comedian was feisty about adjusting to the post-pandemic world in his 2023 comedy special "Tragically, I Need You."
The Grand (818 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2. Tickets are $61-$91. Visit thegrandwilmington.org or (302) 652-5577.
Jake Johannsen, Arden
Who could devote minutes to talking about a toaster on stage? Jake Johannsen certainly can. And he can chat it up about aliens, too. The veteran comic with a bizarre perspective on life has won over audiences through his subtle and witty style of comedy.
Arden Gild Hall (2126 The Highway, Arden) at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11. Tickets for general admission are $33.99. Visit ardenconcerts.com or (302) 475-3126.
