FEAST finds a new home in Eustis. Breakfast and lunch are served.

A popular restaurant has opened its doors once again. FEAST, which was previously located in the Mount Dora Marketplace, has found a new home in downtown Eustis.

FEAST quickly became known for its fresh salads, soups and sandwiches, made with quality ingredients, along with take-home meals that can be heated and ready for dinner.

“We are excited to be back open and bring the deli back,” owner Michele Farmer said. “We’ve got some new things coming as well.”

Farmer's journey began over a decade ago when she found herself facing life as a single mother. Determined to provide for her family while pursuing her passion for cooking, Farmer enrolled in culinary school. This took her through various kitchen roles, including catering and country club kitchens, before she eventually launched her own prepared meal delivery company, A Movable Feast.

In 2017, Farmer's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with leukemia. Faced with the challenge of balancing her health with her career, Farmer made the decision to focus on growing her meal delivery business while undergoing treatment.

Despite the obstacles, A Movable Feast flourished, providing Farmer with the stability she needed during her journey to remission.

Now, with a fresh start in downtown Eustis, Farmer is offering her signature paninis, soups and salads, and has partnered with Debbie Richardson of Morning Sunshine Eats to provide breakfast.

“I was in the dental industry for 35 years but decided to quit my job and open a food truck,” Richardson said. “I’ve always loved cooking, ever since my grandma taught me, but it was time for a change from the food truck. Michele and I decided to work together.”

Available from 7 to 10:30 a.m., breakfast items such as the spicy breakfast burrito, bacon avocado toast, soul good biscuit sandwich, sausage balls, egg white scramble bowl and bagel sandwiches will be available. There will also be assorted pastries and yogurt parfaits, along with a coffee bar.

Lunch offerings include salads filled to the top with fresh veggies, and include garden vegetable, Mediterranean and double berry for $12.

Wraps are a popular item, and include chicken or chickpea salad, Mediterranean, honey apple turkey or chicken bacon ranch. Similarly, paninis are offered in Caprese panino, turkey brie panino, Cuban FEAST panino, bacon jam chicken, or pimento cheese.

Grab any of these for $14, including choice of side, including lemon herb quinoa, soup of the day, Tuscan pasta salad, Vern’s potato salad and FEAST slaw.

The new location has been a little difficult to find, so Farmer wrapped the outside with red and white flags, with a sign outside the entrance. It’s across from Starr Fit and next door to Lickity Splits Ice Cream, with lots of parking options.
