‘Fear the Walking Dead’: Chris Is the Worst Times Infinity

The Season 2 penultimate episode of Fear the Walking Dead was primarily about Chris — the character who’s most likely to make you yell obscenities at your screen.

This episode picks up with Chris killing the guy who lives on the farm where he and his buddies were hiding. His lack of remorse for the murder upset his father, Travis. Travis told Chris his concerns, and his son responded, “This is how it works now. Look around. There is no more good, there is no more bad, right, or wrong. It’s us or them, kill or be killed.”

Chris deceived Travis to enable his friends to come in and kill their injured friend, so he wouldn’t slow them down. Then Chris and his buddies took off, leaving Travis to bury the body and fend for himself.

The odd part about it is that Chris and his friends could have left at any time. They didn’t have to kill their friend, they could have just left him with Travis. Unmotivated action for the sake of plot points (Chris breaking bad) is exactly what one might expect in a Chris-driven episode.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. CT on AMC.
