It's been nearly a year since behind-the-scenes images of Martin Scorsese's Bleu de Chanel short film starring Timothée Chalamet leaked, and today, at long, long last, the 90-second campaign finally dropped. And trust me—it was worth the wait.

In the ad, Chalamet, clad in an all-leather ensemble, step into different caricatures and settings that stereotypically define acting: he's snapped by the paparazzi while leaving his apartment, he's charming it up on a late-night talk show (an adoring audience member yells "Timmy, I love you!" and he's like, "Thanks."), he's simultaneously watching his new project on a billboard and on a television.

The campaign is in black and white, but through it all, the color blue keeps finding its way to Chalamet. Or rather, bleu does. Throughout the ad, Chalamet is haunted by actress Havana Rose Liu (well, her unnamed character, who co-stars in Chalamet's project within the ad), who, at the end, leads him to...the J train? I guess if anyone could glamorize New York City's MTA, it's Scorsese, but, hey—if that's where Timothée Chalamet finds his happy ending in the world of Bleu de Chanel, who am I to judge?

Really, though, that train is a symbol for the freedom that Bleu de Chanel offers. I'm not going to go all English teacher on you, but, like—spoiler alert—Chalamet finally lives his life in full color at the end, after he successfully chases down the blue that's calling to him. It's another Scorsese classic—one that makes me want him to direct a romance drama starring Timothée Chalamet, and one that makes me want to buy a bottle of Bleu de Chanel.
