Father John Misty Soundtracks “Discover L.A.” Ad

“Real Love Baby” has “an upbeat, positive, sunny California feel that reflects our message and our city,” tourist board says

By Jazz Monroe.

Father John Misty has offered up his song “Real Love Baby” for a new ad from Discover L.A., Billboard reports. The tourist board chose Tillman because he is “a local artist who is as passionate about our great city as we are,” group creative director Jeremy Bacharach tells Billboard. “Real Love Baby,” Bacharach adds, “was a perfect choice to set the tone and vibe for our film,” with an “upbeat, positive, sunny California feel that reflects our message and our city.” He says Tillman collaborated with the tourist board because he “believed in the message celebrating L.A.’s diversity and inclusivity, and extending a warm welcome to everyone around the world.” Watch the ad, titled “#EveryoneIsWelcome,” below.
