Father John Misty on Being Covered on 'The Voice': 'Why God Why'

By Matthew Strauss.

On last night’s episode of “The Voice,” contestant Aaron Gibson covered Father John Misty’s Fear Fun standout “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings.” The coaches loved his performance: Adam Levine told him, “I think your voice is so special that you have the responsibility to be a singer.” As it turns out, though, Josh Tillman is not a fan of the homage. He wrote on his Facebook, “why God why.” See his post (which he has since deleted), and watch the cover below. Watch the full episode here; Gibson’s part begins around 51:34.
