'The Fate of the Furious': See reactions to the first screening
The Fate of the Furious has been unleashed on the world - well, a select crowd, anyway - and those who have seen it are racing to praise F. Gary Gray’s film.
Those in attendance at Universal’s CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas got a surprise treat when the eighth installment of the series was screened. Beforehand, star and producer Vin Diesel teared up when discussing his late friend and costar Paul Walker, saying, ”I always feel like he’s looking down on us so we didn’t want to let him down.”

From the reactions on social media, it seems Diesel and crew came through with another high-octane crowd-pleaser.
“Fate of the Furious is everything you want it to be and a ton of fun,” said Colliders Steven Weintraub, adding, “@TheRock is a straight up superhero in the film and I loved it.”

Fate of the Furious adds Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood to the franchise while marking the first film without Walker and the beginning of a new trilogy. Even though this is the eighth film in the series, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down, with Eric Vespe from Ain’t It Cool News writing, “I adored every ridiculous, charming, absurd, fun second of The Fate of the Furious.”

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS is no joke. Doubles down on action, emotion, intensity, humor &, of course, family. The NYC stuff is off the chain. pic.twitter.com/K3aeviUYCf

The Fate of the Furious takes the ridiculousness of the franchise to a whole new level, yet feels very different. Should be a gigantic hit.

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS features some great action set pieces but I think I may be too old for this franchise, which just isn39;t the same now

The Fate of the Furious is another winning entry in the franchise. Crazy, fun, and yet very different feeling. I laughed, I cried, I cheered
