Fatboy Slim, Idris Elba among acts slated for Detroit's Movement festival 2024

Fatboy Slim, the English producer whose hit resume includes “The Rockafeller Skank” and “Praise You,” is listed as a headliner for the 2024 installment of Detroit’s Movement festival.
He’ll be part of an artist lineup that will also include British actor Idris Elba, performing a DJ set with Detroit techno luminary Kevin Saunderson.
Movement will run May 25-27, as the latest edition of the 24-year-old electronic music festival hits Hart Plaza.
Acts announced Wednesday were part of the first batch of performers unveiled by fest producer Paxahau. Other names include James Blake, Solomun, LP Giobbi, Indira Paganotto and Jaguar, along with Detroit veteran DJ Minx.
Wednesday’s lineup teaser was rounded by Goldie, VTSS, I Hate Models, 999999999, Honey Dijon, Gorgon City, Floating Points, Sama Abdulhadi, Joesph Capriati, Skream and Mount Kimbie.
Additional artists will be announced by Paxahau in coming weeks.
Elba, who has a long background in the music world — including a history of working with Detroit DJs — will be making his Movement debut. For Fatboy Slim, it’s a second appearance at the Detroit festival, following a set at Hart Plaza in 2011.
Three-day passes ($289 general admission, $419 VIP) and single-day tickets ($139 general admission, $189 VIP) are available now at movement.us.
