The flavors and sounds of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras celebrations will echo more than 800 miles from Bourbon Street Tuesday – right here in Palm Beach County.

Where to go for traditional Fat Tuesday bites, drinks and celebrations glittering in purple, green and gold?

Here's a trio of options:

If it’s a party, live music and tasty New Orleans-style grub you seek, consider Voodoo Bayou your Mardi Gras headquarters.

The fun kicks off at noon with live music from blues band JP Soars and the Red Hots, who are on till 4 p.m. They’re followed by a live performance by Mister Trombone Wayne & the MTE Band, who play from 6 to 10 p.m.

On Voodoo Bayou’s Mardi Gras menu: The Fat Tuesday special is a live crawfish boil ($15.95 per pound plus $2 sides, until supplies last).

Of course, the restaurant’s regular menu is in itself a homage to New Orleans. That means year-round spicy gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish hand pies, catfish with spicy Creole sauce, shrimp and crawfish étouffée, plus po'boys and beignets.

Fat Tuesday drinks: $9 hurricane cocktails and other jazzy sips.

Mardi Gras flavors will linger beyond Fat Tuesday at this Jupiter Inlet oyster bar and taphouse, which is part of the Charlie and Joe’s at Love Street complex.

In fact, the special New Orleans-inspired dishes and drinks will be offered through March 13, rum-soaked Hurricanes ($13) and all.

The celebratory dishes: An all-out Louisiana crawfish boil swimming with Key West pink shrimp, Prince Edward Island mussels and andouille sausage ($54), and a spiny lobster jambalaya ($42) with dirty rice and Creole sauce.

On its regular menu, the seafood-centric, waterfront eatery also offers crawfish gumbo ($10) and crispy Cajun shrimp po’boy ($19).

What's for dessert?

Executive Pastry Chef Jenniffer Woo has created a fun-size rendition of a king cake ($8), done up in the classic purple, green and gold hues.

She crowns the mini cake with festive swirls and sprinkles and adorns it with the traditional Mardi Gras baby.

TMI Food Truck at Copperpoint Brewing

This popular food truck, best known for its loaded tots, sliders and mini doughnuts, will serve a New Orleans-inspired menu on Fat Tuesday at the Copperpoint Brewing Company in Boynton Beach. Look for it at the brewery from 4 to 9 p.m.

On the menu: spicy jambalaya, po’boys, gator bites and king cake doughnuts.

The brewery offers a rotation of diverse beers, plus year-round favorites like the Copperpoint Lager, which goes well with just about anything.
