Fat Joe has been announced as the returning host and co-executive producer of the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, going down next month in Atlanta.

As the entire year has been full of momentous events celebrating 50 years of Hip-Hop, this year’s Hip-Hop Awards is guaranteed to be extra special.

The official 2023 nominees were announced last week, with 21 Savage and Cardi B leading this year’s nominations with 12 each. Other nominees with multiple noms include Burna Boy and DJ Khaled with seven, J. Cole with six, and Coi Leray, GloRilla, and Jay-Z with five.

Speaking to narrating the celebratory night, the Terror Squad boss stated, “Hip hop is my life, and I’m extremely proud to return as host of BET Hip Hop Awards 2023. We’re going to make this year’s award show even bigger while also celebrating our Hip-Hop stars and pioneers in a spectacular way. It’s going to be a legendary night of music and entertainment and you’re not going to want to miss it.”

Joe hosted last year when Kendrick Lamar took home six wins, including Artist of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Best Live Performer and Album of the Year for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. He also scored Best Hip Hop Video for “Family Ties” with Baby Keem and Video Director of the Year with Dave Free. Trina also took home the “I Am Hip-Hop” Award.
