Fat Joe Gives Turkeys To Bronx Residents In Thanksgiving Drive

Fat Joe gave back to his home borough in the Bronx with his annual Thanksgiving drive. The Hip-Hop legend teamed up with Krasdale Supermarkets to hand out holiday dinner staples to Bronx residents.
Joe uploaded some of his holiday cheer to social media, showing behind-the-scenes footage of the drive and the people who helped make it happen.
“You know, Thanksgiving for us is about family, community… that’s rare nowadays. I would show the line, but these are proud people, and I don’t want to be showing people’s faces like that. But it’s a beautiful thing, Black and Brown [people] out here, [we] representing everybody… We always and constantly helping the people,” the Terror Squad boss said in one of his Instagram clips.
He was also interviewed by News12 The Bronx as the outlet showed off his community’s outpouring of love for the rapper. Joe showed love to Krasdale Foods for helping him in his community efforts for the past four years and explained why giving back was essential to him.

“I remember when my mother used to have to borrow from my grandfather to get us a turkey and get us food,” Fat Joe recalled. “So that’s why it’s so important, if you look at these bags, these bags got turkeys, [arroz con gandules] (rice, pigeon peas, and sometimes pork), yams, mac and cheese, soup. I mean you name it.”
Famous photographer Johnny Nuñez also linked up with the “All The Way Up” artist for his Thanksgiving drive. Nuñez captured a portion of the event and showed love to Joe for showing up for “underserved communities” in the Bronx.
