'Fast and Furious' star is revealed on 'The Masked Singer'

The final six contestants took the The Masked Singer stage Wednesday night for a spot in the quarterfinals and, at the end of the night, fans had to say goodbye to Robopine, even though he had made everyone swoon with his performance of Boyz II Men's "Water Runs Dry."

The panelists guessed that Robopine was either Terrence Howard, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese Gibson or Wesley Snipes, and Nicole Sherzinger and celebrity guest Chrissy Metz were thrilled when they discovered that their guess was correct – Robopine was five-time Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and major movie star Tyrese Gibson.

During Tyrese Gibson's clue package prior to his reveal, the actor discussed his friend and former Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker, who died in 2013. "Looking back, I could have never imagined kids today would feel that same rush on a theme park ride based on a project I had been a part of," Gibson shared referring to the Fast and Furious roller coaster at Universal Studios theme parks. The actor added, "I'm really grateful, but it's bittersweet, 'cause someone I love dearly, who was a huge part of it all, is, uh, is no longer here. He was taken too soon in the most tragic way. But I was lucky to be on life's roller coaster with him while I could. If he was here and could see me in this big robot porcupine costume, I know he'd be proud."

Following his reveal, Gibson talked about the other two people who inspired him to go on the show. "You know, when you have two daughters, you look for those moments to sit in front of the TV and do something fun as a family. So here I am now with a Robopine outfit on."

Meanwhile, viewers were upset that Tyrese was eliminated so fast, but they weren't furious, since Gibson gave everyone one final performance.
