While "The Bachelor" ended last week with an emotional finale, there's still another reality dating competition taking place to that hungry viewers can sink their teeth into.

Season 2 of the hit reality Fox TV show "Farmer Wants a Wife" has passed its halfway mark, showcasing women across the nation as they attempt to find love with a hunky homesteader.

One of its four leads, Florida native Nathan Smothers, previously claimed on the show that he is ready to win over city girls, taking them to his farm and showing them what his life is like. Is he making good on that promise?

Let's refresh first. What is 'Farmer Wants a Wife?'

Hosted by Grammy Award-winning country star Jennifer Nettles, four farmers from across the country meet with a crop of hopeful singles, according to Fox's website. Over 30 women will leave behind the dating apps and love in “the big city” for the chance of a classic American courtship.

Splitting up the women between the farmers, they each will take their group of daters to their farm and show them what it is really like to live as ranchers.

"Farmer Wants a Wife," Fox says, is "the most successful dating show in the world." It airs in 32 countries and has resulted in more than 200 marriages and over 510 children, the network said.

Meet Nathan, a Florida citrus farmer who is one of the four leads

Nathan Smothers hails from Bartow, which is 41 miles outside of Tampa in Polk County. As the county seat, Bartow is known as the "land of lakes and citrus groves."

According to his FOX bio, Smothers grew up working his family’s farm and citrus groves. His farm is 300 acres, with the cattle property adding an additional 500 acres.

According to FOX, Smothers lost his dad at 12, so he quickly grew up and became the man of the house, helping to support his mom and three sisters. His biography says he returned to live and work on the farm full time when he graduated from college and is eager to begin his next chapter, which starting a family with the love of his life.

Smothers shared with several news outlets that before he started working on his family farm, he attended school at Florida's Warner University in Lake Worth.

On the premiere episode back in February, the citrus farmer's picked eight prospects to take back to his farm:

  • Rachel, 25, Marketer from Texas

  • Taylor, 25, Hairstylist from Texas

Farmer Nathan is down to four women: Taylor, Kristin, Allye and Mackenzie.

The latter originally went home early in the season because of a family emergency. However, the newest episode brought back an additional woman for each of the farmers, seeing Mackenzie return to Smothers' farm.

Besides Smothers, there will be three other farmers looking for love on the show:

  • Ty Ferrell, 42: A team roper from Missouri with a 50-acre farm with horses and roping cattle.

  • Mitchell Kolinsky, 27: A first-generation farmer with a new farm and a charming 19th-century cabin in Tennessee.

  • Brandon Rogers, 29: A potato and barley farmer who lives in Center, Colorado, on his 1,000-acre farm.
