‘The Fantastic Four’ cast finally announced: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon-Moss Bachrach

It’s castin’ time.

On Valentine’s Day, Marvel Studios finally confirmed months of speculation and rumors by revealing the cast of the brand’s upcoming reboot of “The Fantastic Four.” Officially aboard the future superhero blockbuster as Marvel’s first family is Pedro Pascal (playing Reed Richards a.k.a Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (as Sue Storm a.k.a. Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (as Johnny Storm a.k.a Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (as Ben Grimm a.k.a. The Thing). Those four actors have been connected to the project by informed online speculation since last summer.

To announce its cast, Marvel posted a retro poster that calls back to the Fantastic Four’s comic origins in 1961. Whether the film itself will serve as a period piece, which would make it an outlier in the official Marvel Cinematic Universe, is unknown at present time.

Matt Shakman, who directed “WandaVision” for Marvel, is aboard to reboot Fantastic Four. The film is now scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, a date previously earmarked for “Thunderbolts.” Marvel shifted that superhero team-up, which is set to star Florence Pugh and David Harbour, to May 2, 2025 – the date previously occupied by “The Fantastic Four.”
There have been multiple “Fantastic Four” movies over the last 20 years, including 2015’s notorious flop with Miles Teller as Reed, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny, Kate Mara as Sue, and Jamie Bell as Ben. This, however, will be the first “Fantastic Four” film within the current Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline.
