Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce

Fans of Travis and Jason Kelce were all in when the brothers began using T-shirt cannons during their New Heights podcast’s first arena show to catapult sandwiches into the audience.

The brothers kicked off their live event at the University of Cincinnati’s Fifth Third Arena with their “New News” segment. Travis told audience members with a laugh that the segment would actually be “starting off with a little ad” as he revealed that Subway was the live show’s sponsor.

“They’ve got four new wraps, just for you guys,” Travis said. “And guess what? We’re going to shoot some to you guys in some cannons!”

As shown in a clip of the moment that New Heights later shared on Instagram, both brothers loaded sandwiches into the cannons before firing them into the audience—and occasionally supplementing their efforts by throwing the meals directly into the crowd. Fans seemed thrilled, as many cheered and screamed while scrambling to catch some of the sandwiches that flew near their seats.

Though some Instagram fans weren’t so sure if the move was wise, most still found it hilarious. “Getting shot in the face with a turkey sub is not on my bingo card 😂,” one fan wrote.

“The cannon didn’t look like a good idea,” another said, adding that they saw “lettuce flying around 😂.”

“Not jason rocket launching sub sandwiches into a million pieces at people 🤣 put this man in a museum,” another Instagram user joked.

Some fans declared that the show looked like "the perfect amount of pure chaos,” and others thought it demonstrated how much Jason appeared to be enjoying his retirement.

One fan wondered if anyone had "crushed their first month of retirement harder” than Jason. While one Instagram user declared that Jason is “winning at retirement,” another said he is living “retirement to the maximum.”

The former Philadelphia Eagles center officially retired last month following his 13-season NFL career and months of rumors about when he would decide to hang up his cleats.
