Fans Think Taylor Swift Avoided This Mahomes Family Member in an Awkward Video After the Super Bowl

Taylor Swift’s fans are talking about an awkward post-Super Bowl interaction that may speak to the star’s relationship with a certain member of Patrick Mahomes‘ family.

Though Swift has grown very close with the Chiefs quarterback and his family since she began dating his teammate, Travis Kelce, fans think the singer is not going to be adding his brother, Jackson, to her bestie squad any time soon.

In a video shared on X, the “Anti-Hero” singer can be seen briefly hugging Jackson before swiftly walking away. Of course, there is nothing to suggest that the singer has any animosity with the younger Mahomes brother but fans responding to the clip were quick to speculate.

“Love how quickly she backed away after the hug,” one X user wrote. Another responded: “She’s trying to get away from him without being rude.”

Meanwhile others defended the moment saying, “What are you people talking about? They hugged, she moved out of the way so he could hug Travis’s mom. Stop the hating.”

Since first stepping out in support of Kelce and a Chiefs game in September, Swift has formed a seemingly close bond with Brittany Mahomes, Patrick’s wife, and has even sat with Brittany, Jackson and the rest of the Mahomes family during several games.

While Swift did remain in her own private suite at the Super Bowl with members of her A-list friend group and the Kelce family while the Mahomes clan sat in a separate suite, the singer seemed cordial with the family after the game.

That said, some of Swift’s supporters have willed the singer to avoid Jackson due to his recent controversies, according to Stylecaster. The social media star was arrested on an aggravated sexual battery charge in May 2023 after he an incident as a Kansas restaurant in which he allegedly tried to forcibly kiss the owner multiple times and shoved a male member of the wait staff. The charges were dropped in January.
