Back in 2020, Lana Del Rey went viral for her now-deleted Instagram post called "Question for the Culture," where she defended her music against critics who believed her lyrics "glamorize abuse."

In the very first sentence, Lana called out seven female artists for achieving #1 songs that in her view were about, "being sexy, wearing no clothes, and cheating." However, the post sparked major backlash because some believed Lana was targeting women of color and upholding misogynistic ideas.

Most recently, and strangely enough, in the past two months, five out of the seven artists named by Lana have been in the news for their own controversies. The even stranger part — each controversy is happening in almost the exact same order in which they were named in the post.

Fans are calling this odd coincidence "Lana's prophecy," which they believe is coming to fruition in the year 2023.

Here is everything that has taken place so far in chronological order:

1.The prophecy seemingly began on June 8, when photos of Doja Cat and her boyfriend J.Cyrus on vacation went public.

Doja Cat fans started speaking out against J.Cyrus who has been accused of "manipulating and emotionally abusing members of his Twitch team and community," according to Rolling Stone.

In addition to the allegations, Doja Cat also lost over 500,000 followers for responding rudely to fan accounts online.

2.Number two on Lana's list is pop princess, Ariana Grande.

On July 17, the 30-year-old singer was trending following news of her divorce from Dalton Gomez. Just days later, her rumored relationship with her Wicked costar, Ethan Slater, was confirmed by People.

Ethan Slater's estranged wife — who recently had a baby — spoke out against Ariana, telling Page Six, "[Ariana's] not a girl's girl" and "my family is just collateral damage."

3.Number three on Lana's list is: Camila Cabello.

On July 28, Pop Crave tweeted that Camila was reportedly dating Rosalía's ex-fiancé Rauw Alejandro. The two stars had attended two of the same events in recent days, according to People. This rumor came just days after the news broke that Rosalía and Rauw were ending their three-year relationship.

A source denied the allegations, saying that the dating rumors were "100% not true," according to People.

"Camila Cabello and Rauw Alejandro are reportedly dating."

But that didn't stop the negative tweets from pouring in.

4.Number four on the list is Cardi B.

6.But, we're still not done because sixth on Lana's list is the one and only, Nicki Minaj.

On July 30th, reports said that Nicki Minaj had been "swatted" after a 911 call claimed there was a shooting at her house in Los Angeles.

7. The seventh person named on the list is Beyoncé, and Beyhive stans are keeping track of any and all developments in the prophecy.
