With the premiere of her new show, NCIS Hawai'i, actress Vanessa Lachey shared a video clip of the day she found out that she landed the role of Jane Tennant, making her the first female lead actor in the show franchise's history.
In the video, Vanessa is in her car just after receiving the call from CBS, and takes her fans on a tear-filled journey to her best friend's house, where she shares the news. "I just found out I got the job... and I'm so happy," Vanessa said between sobs, as she explained the reason for her tears to her little one, Phoenix, who is sitting in the back seat of the car. "Thank you I'm so happy."

"I remember the day I got the call 'You got the job!' I will never forget it! Dreams do come true. One week from today, our show premieres and I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity. My life is changed forever," Vanessa wrote as the caption.
CBS shared their excitement in the comments with a sweet "Crying tears of joy with you!! ❤️" message, as well as "Ok crying over here We cannot wait for the world to meet your Jane ❤️❤️."
