Fans Send Love To Alex Trebek After Amazing Christmas Party

Alex Trebek was in great spirits over the weekend at his annual Christmas party and "Jeopardy!" fans were moved by how happy he appeared. Trebek, who is battling pancreatic cancer, was seen smiling as he posed for photos with guests, including Don McLean and his girlfriend, Paris Dylan.

Mclean was actually the musical guest and Dylan shared some amazing snaps on Instagram. The amount of love the fans sent Alex's way was overwhelming.

Fans Think He Looked Great

A Trebek sighting outside of the "Jeopardy!" set is a rare occurrence, that's why fans were so happy to see the star looking healthy and happy.

"Biggest fan of u Alex ur amazing 😉 person and intelligent man and love ❤️ ur game show also," a supportive fan commented on Dylan's post. "I’ve lost my grandma to cancer stage 4. But ur a fighter I believe in u."

"I love and pray for Alex every single day," another fan wrote while many commented, "he looks good."

Alex's Bucket List Party

The holiday party was one for the ages and PEOPLE reports that the entire shindig was planned and organized by Trebek himself. Having the "American Pie" singer perform at the event was on Alex's bucket list and he finally got to cross it off.

“I sent an email to Don’s people on his website and here we are tonight,” Trebek told the audience at the party. “I can officially take this off of my bucket list. This was a real treat for me.”

Several photos from the event showed Trebek and McLean onstage at the same time laughing and entertaining the guests.

It was clear that the "Jeopardy!" host put a lot of thought into the party because McLean admitted to PEOPLE that Trebek provided him with a set of instructions to make sure the night went as planned.

“I had never met Alex and normally I just come in and do my thing,” McLean said. “When I arrived, Alex handed me a piece of paper with a list of songs he wanted me to perform and in the order he wanted them performed in. Then when I looked next to each song, he had timed them out.”

“I looked at Alex and said, ‘Well, tonight is your night and I will do exactly what you want,’ ” he continued. “And that is what I did. Except I did toss in one Christmas song in the spirit of the event! Alex is a wonderful man and is loved by the world.”
