Fans of rapper Yung Joc call out ‘Wheel of Fortune’ over confusing puzzle

Rapper Yung Joc was thrust into the ethos of Wheel of Fortune Monday. It all began when contestant Kennise Miller had already pocketed nearly $30,000 in prize money and a trip to Maui, when she faced a rather difficult Bonus Round puzzle, under the category of “person.”

She only had two of the nine letters showing on the board, and even an impressive player like Kennise couldn’t come up with a single guess for the answer, which was “Young Jock.”

And that’s when things blew up on Twitter, with many viewers assuming that the show meant for the puzzle to be the name of popular rapper Yung Joc. With some even blaming the show’s research department and saying that Kennise deserved a new puzzle.

Even those who didn’t think it was a reference to the rapper still took issue with the puzzle, wondering how “Young Jock” qualifies as a “person.”

And while the mystery may continue on social media, we do know that Kennise, who is a licensed nail technician from Chicago, played a great game and has plenty of reasons to celebrate with $28,200 and a Hawaiian vacation coming her way.

Yung Joc and young jocks would approve.

- Viewers on Twitter were confused by the puzzle wondering if it was supposed to be Young Joc the rapper, who spells it differently.

- "'Wheel of Fortune,' you all cheated tonight's bonus-round contestant. His name is Young Joc not Young Jock. Come on, guys," one viewer said, with another adding, "She should have another shot. Why in the world would you even use the name and not research?" And even those who didn't think it was a reference to the rapper still took issue with the puzzle saying, "Young Jock as opposed to Old Jock, what the heck is this? Who even uses this term anymore?" But whether Kennise lost on Young Joc the rapper or Young Jock the uncommon phrase, she still had plenty to celebrate.
