Fans outraged at snubbing of 'A Star Is Born' at Golden Globes

It was a night of celebration for the cast and crew of Bohemian Rhapsody at the 2019 Golden Globes as it took Best Motion Picture — Drama.

But the victory also sparked plenty of outrage on social media, with fans disappointed that Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born didn’t get the prize.

A Star is Born got robbed again,” one viewer wrote. “It’s like your voters forgot to watch it.”

So you’re telling me bohemian rhapsody won over Black Panther AND A Star is Born??!!” another tweeted.

Along with A Star Is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody, Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman and If Beale Street Could Talk were nominated in the best film — drama category.

A Star Is Born did take home the award for Best Original Song — Motion Picture with its popular track, “Shallow.”

Lady Gaga joined her fellow songwriters on stage to accept the award, fighting back tears as she spoke.

“I just have to say, as a woman in music, it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and a songwriter,” she said. “These three incredible men … lifted me up and supported me. Bradley, I love you.”
