Why A Christmas Song?
Perry spoke to Entertainment Tonight and explained where she got the inspiration for the song and the colorful music video.
"It was actually inspired by our last Christmas together with my family, which was last year in Copenhagen," Perry told ET. "The Danish really know how to do Christmas! They have so many different traditions — they have special chocolates they buy, they have a Christmas beer, they light real candles on the Christmas tree, you hold hands and you dance around and I was like, 'Man, I want that.'"
"It's something you can't buy... It's just a feeling," she continued.
Katy's Japanese Thanksgiving
Katy and her fiance, Orlando Bloom celebrated Thanksgiving in a very non-traditional way. The spent the holiday in Japan and Katy thanked her family for going along with the crazy plan.
Perry shared a few photos on Instagram that showed the couple sitting crosslegged on the floor with the traditional Japanese paper wall behind them.
"Putting the T in #thanksgiving with a traditional tea ceremony in Kyoto. Grateful my family is always up for an adventure 🧡," Katy wrote in the post.
