We thought that there was nothing better than Kelly Clarkson adding her powerhouse vocals to some of the biggest songs in the world—that is, until we heard her cover one of her own songs.

Clarkson took on her 2023 hit “me” from the Chemistry album during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

With a little help from My Band Y’all, the American Idol winner mesmerized with the rendition, leaving plenty of fans “teary eyed” as they watched her singing her heart out, “standing strong, and finding herself again,” following her tumultuous divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

“Don't need somebody to pick these pieces up, I put together my broken, Let go of the pain I'vе been holdin', Don't need to need somebody, When I got me,” she sings, as the poignant lyrics of the tune reflect newfound independence after a breakup.

Fans were in awe of her raw talent and vulnerability, with one noting, “You have only gotten better Kelly. The depth of your voice is haunting. Please don't ever stop singing."

Another called it a “powerful rendition," while a third noted, "This is even better than the recording 😍🔥 @kellyclarksonshow outranks herself."

“Imagine being Kelly Clarkson and finding out Kelly Clarkson sang your song. Wow,” one fan joked on Instagram, where the talk show shared a snippet of the performance.

Other fans put in a reasonable request—”Please sing more songs from Chemistry”—as someone else praised the song choice, adding, “Chemistry is so underrated ❤️”

The Kellyoke segment of the show has become a huge hit with audiences, with plenty requesting the pop star to “gift” them with a country album. Some even found themselves amazed by her cover singing completely in French.

No matter what genre Clarkson chooses to cover, we know it’s going to leave us with “Chills, literally chills."
