Princess Charlotte

A resurfaced video of Princess Charlotte and Prince William has earned the attention of fans, who say the young one is a "carbon copy" of her father and his late mother, Princess Diana.

The video, which is originally from the 2022 Platinum Jubilee pageant, was reposted on X (formerly Twitter) this past weekend but for a whole different reason than it initially went viral for.

When the clip first began circulating the internet months ago, royal watchers thought it was hilarious how Charlotte, who turns 9 next month, convinced her older brother, Prince George, 10, to switch seats with her.

Now, in its second installation of internet popularity, the video has won over fans who are drawing comparisons between the young princess and her elder relatives.

In response to the reshared clip which was captioned, "Princess Charlotte has a special bond with Prince William," many social media users pointed out an apparent resemblance between her, her father and her late grandmother.

"Princess Charlotte and Prince William. She is a carbon copy of her father and her grandmother, Princess Diana," one comment read, also sharing a side-by-side of Charlotte with a throwback childhood photo of her father. Many others agreed, as the tweet has accumulated over 1,400 likes, 50+ reposts and dozens of replies as of writing.

"Perhaps they’re Related ?" one amateur comedian wrote back.

While a different user admitted that the resemblance was news to them, "Never noticed this…" they shared.

"She’s her daddy’s bestie," another suggested.

"Princess Charlotte: Princess Diana's Mini-Me," a fifth user wrote in part.

"Nope, you're not looking at the pictures of Princess Charlotte, its Princess William," someone else joked. "CHARLOTTE IS LITERALLY HER FATHERS TWIN."
