Fans Are Convinced Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Are Going to Make Their Red Carpet Debut at This Event

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are always keeping fans, and even insiders, on their toes. Last week, insiders were flip-flopping between whether or not the pair were going to go to Coachella, and when they went to a lowkey sushi date the first day of weekend one, many were convinced they opted out. However, they partied it up on day two, and now, fans are convinced something similar may happen with the Met Gala.

The 2024 Met Gala is mere weeks away, specifically, it occurs on May 2, a week before Swift leaves for the European leg of her Eras World Tour.

A close source to Kelce revealed that both he and Swift were on the guest list for the A-list event. But, sources believe they won’t go.

“They are loving to just relax, spend time together, and stay at Taylor’s residencies to just enjoy being together and get a well-deserved rest,” the source said to The Sun. “It’s that time of year where both are off and they like not to attract any attention, to not be going to many public events, and just stay in their ‘bubble.’ They have been invited to tons of public events in the last few weeks but they declined them.

They added, “The Met Gala is a massive event but the plan is to not go as they want to enjoy the maximum time they have before the start of the Euro tour.”

Now, this is totally fair: wanting to spend as much time together as they can before she goes to Europe for months. However, many thought they’d be totally away from the public eye, and went to Coachella.

Thus, many fans on X, the app formerly known as Twitter, are convinced they’re going to make their red carpet debut at the Met Gala. One thing people have noticed is that the last time Swift went to the Met Gala was in 2016, and that was also the year of the last time she went to Coachella.

Swift even talked about how she was out of the public eye when dating Joe Alwyn, and even reflected on how she didn’t like it. But in her romance with Kelce, she’s not afraid of being in the public eye and going to high-profile events like the Super Bowl and Coachella. So if this pattern continues, we may in fact see Swift and Kelce at the Met Gala.

For those who don’t know, Kelce and Swift have been dating since July 2023.
