Fans Are Convinced This New Taylor Swift Song Is About Emma Stone, So Here's Their Strong Theory

Happy Speak Now (Taylor's Version) release date!
On Friday, Taylor Swift dropped her latest re-release album, this time for Speak Now, which initially came out in 2010.
As usual for her Taylor's Version albums, the singer included several "From the Vault" songs that haven't seen the light of day until now. One of those songs from Speak Now is "When Emma Falls in Love."
The song is about watching a friend, named Emma, fall in love. Of course, this had fans thinking of one of Taylor's famous best friends.
That'd be Emma Stone.
The two have been close for years. According to People, they first met in 2008 at an awards show.
Here they are in 2010 at the premiere of Emma's movie Easy A.
And here they are on stage at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards.
Emma even attended a concert on Taylor's Eras tour earlier this year.
“The concert was pretty amazing. I was lucky ’cause we’ve been friends for a really long time. I’ve known her since we were 17 and 18, so she hooked me up, which was very nice ’cause I know those tickets are impossible to get,” Emma told Vanity Fair last month. “She’s a wonderful friend. She blows my mind. I mean, the amount of sheer stamina to do three and a half hours and perform 44 songs and to maintain the extreme energy of the audience — I’ve never seen anything like it.”
So it's plausible that Taylor may have written a song about Emma some time around 2010. What makes the theory even more believable is that, at the time, Emma was reportedly in a relationship with Kieran Culkin. People says they broke up in 2011.
Emma eventually began dating her The Amazing Spider-Man costar Andrew Garfield, though it's probably unlikely their romance would be the subject of Taylor's song, since Speak Now came out in October of 2010. People reports they met on set at the end of that year.
Nevertheless, for fans who believe the song is about Emma in some capacity, they're fawning over how supportive Taylor is to her friend in the lyrics, as well as simply hyping up the heartfelt track. So here are 11 tweets about "When Emma Falls in Love."
