Zillow Gone Wild, the viral Instagram account featuring over-the-top real estate listings, has a loyal legion of nearly 2 million fans who eagerly await each post. Now, the social media account is making the leap to television, but not everyone is excited by the news.

HGTV announced that Zillow Gone Wild, a nine-episode TV show inspired by the Instagram account, will make its debut on May 3, celebrating America's "weirdest, wildest, and wackiest homes for sale." But instead of Samir Mezrahi, the creator of the Instagram account, the show will be hosted by actor Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock fame.

Jack said, "Everyone loves to scroll endlessly, looking at all the pretty houses for sale online. But I’m on a mission to find out the story behind America’s strangest and most extraordinary homes. I want to meet the owners and, most importantly, see for myself what’s inside."

In an added twist, the series will culminate with one home being deemed the "Wildest House" of all. Viewers can enter for a chance to win a $25,000 prize by guessing the wildest house.

The network shared the news on Instagram with the message, "Say hello to Jack McBrayer, host of our new real estate show #ZillowGoneWild — hitting HGTV on May 3. 🚨 (And yes, it’s based on *that* @zillowgonewild account you love.)"

The post received an outpouring of comments from fans. Some left excited messages like, "HGTV is winning me back with this one!" and "I haven’t been this excited about a show since ever." But many others were concerned about Samir's involvement. One wrote, "Love Jack, but how do you not hire Samir for this? His brand of humor is what makes the account so successful." Another said, "Okay but if @samir isn’t a guest host I’m not watching." One person suggested, "@hgtv we need some @samir episodes or a rundown on each house."

HGTV confirmed to Country Living that the series is inspired by Samir's Instagram account, and he serves as an executive producer. The show premieres on May 3 on HGTV and Max. Will you be watching?
