Ree Drummond’s latest workout video had some fans drawing humorous parallels to an iconic scene in The Wizard of Oz.

The Pioneer Woman host sparked the comparisons with a video she shared on Instagram on Wednesday, April 3. In the video, Drummond, 55, is seen quickly putting her red hair into a bun on top of her head before settling into the seat of a rowing machine inside her home gym. With her white sneaker-clad feet strapped safely onto the machine, Drummond then proceeded to kick off her rowing workout.

The detail that had fans laughing was the extent to which the Food Network star sped up the video. Once her workout began, Drummond was little more than a blur on the screen, her arms and legs pumping furiously away as her body bobbed back and forth. She appropriately paired the fast-forwarded video with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee,” another detail that fans found hilarious.

“If I were any more athletic, it’d be a crime!” Drummond wrote in her Instagram caption.

Several fans left teasing comments even as they praised her for sharing footage from her workout.

“Go speed racer,” one fan said as they added laughing emojis to their comment.

“The po-po are in route,” another joked while one fan said they spit out their coffee in laughter after seeing Drummond’s video.

“At that speed, I think you’re halfway to Colorado by now, Ree,” one Instagram user wrote. “I wish my workouts went that fast,” another said.

A couple of fans also drew comparisons between Drummond’s speedy rowing video and The Wizard of Oz. One fan left a comment referencing an early scene in the movie in which the leitmotif for the Wicked Witch of the West played while Almira Gulch biked down a dirt road as a storm approached. Another fan compared the video more generally to the 1939 classic, writing, “I thought wizard of oz things were about to start happening.”

But some fans left more serious comments on Drummond’s post as they thanked her for inspiring their own exercise efforts.

“You go girl,” one Instagram user wrote. “I am doing strength training and cardio. It’s wonderful!!!!"

“You are amazing,” another said. “You are inspiring me. I’m getting a walking pad today.”
