Although they were in the company of friends, the fact that Niall’s arm surrounding Selena raises more suspicion. As if to reciprocate the ex-one direction band member’s gesture about her album ‘Rare,’ Selena posted a few days later about the star's latest release and even urged fans to watch it.However, the two could have just killed the morale of their fans when they both confirmed to being single. Selena Gomez has, in past interviews, indicated being single for two years now. In an interview in December, Niall also confirmed the same saying he is ‘very much single.’
Since the surfacing of the photo, a close friend to the duo has been on record dismissing the claims. Selena Gomez and Niall are in no romantic relationship. The two hang out together as close friends.According to reports from E, this was not the first stir about the pair. Attending a birthday party understood to be Jenna Dewan’s, a couple of eyewitnesses encountered them kissing, and Selena seemed to be so much into it. Niall was more carried away.

In her words, she wants ‘someone who gets the picture of what the music industry entails.’ She described a personality who is in the industry to be fun, exciting, and a partner when it comes to creativity.Niall, on the other hand, set the record straight and went on to explain. In his opinion, Niall believes that people will always assume he is dating whenever he takes a girl out. He added that this fact was so annoying.
In a disappointing statement for their fans, Niall confirmed he is currently focused on his work and is not in search of a romantic relationship. However, this does not mean Niall is ready to live the single life all through either. He continues in a twist saying, ‘if by any chance something falls into place and finally meet someone, then it wouldn’t be unfair.’ Niall Horan and Selena Gomez both confirmed they are not dating, although with their close and supportive friendship, fans still believe they are a perfect match.
