Fan Stuns Crowd with Amazing Singing Voice When Michael Bublé Invites Her to Sing at His Concert

Michael Bublé gave one fan the chance of a lifetime to sing at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

At the “Haven't Met You Yet” crooner’s concert at the venue on Wednesday night, he said he wanted to give an audience member a chance to shine with his or her favorite shower song. After jumping up and down to get Bublé’s attention, 21-year-old student Erin Bellucci was chosen to sing a rendition of her favorite song — the Etta James classic “At Last” — to the crowd from her spot in the front row.

Before Bellucci started singing, Bublé asked that the audience not be “terrible judges,” as captured in a video taken by Bellucci’s sister, Allison, 24.

“Be more Blake [Shelton] than Simon Cowell,” he quipped, but the warnings weren’t necessary once Bellucci started singing and showing off her amazing voice.

Bellucci blew the crowd away and garnered plenty of praise from Bublé himself.

“You’re the next American Idol!” he said in the clip. “That was so beautiful. That may not be your last time here. That was incredible — too incredible, if you ask me.”

Bublé then promised the crowd that the performance wasn’t set up.

“This is the truth, don’t think this is some set up thing,” he said. “It’s not set up. There is real horror in this because I never know what’s going to happen. Some nights that doesn’t happen.”

The University of Delaware junior’s father, Harry, shared the video to his Twitter account and wrote: “My daughters Allie and Erin are at Michael Buble at Madison Square Garden right now and this REALLY happened. That’s my daughter Erin. Amazing.”

In an interview with We-Ha.com in her hometown of West Hartford, Connecticut, Bellucci said she has been a fan of Bublé’s since elementary school.

“I think this is a sign that I really need to put myself out there,” she told the outlet. “Michael Bublé…this is is just incredible.”

Bublé is currently on his Don’t Believe the Rumors tour, his first trek since announcing his 5-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with cancer in 2016.

The 27-city American tour kicked off on Feb. 13 in Tampa, Florida, and will wrap up on April 6 in Tacoma, Washington.

Bublé — who shares 3-month-old daughter Vida Amber Betty, 2-year-old son Elias and Noah with wife Luisana Lopilato — has been vocal about his oldest child’s health battle.

“I really feel that my family and I have been shown so much grace. The people that prayed for us and loved us and supported us, it means a lot for me to come out on tour and go to their backyards and show them with my actions in person just how much I appreciate them,” Bublé previously told PEOPLE.

“Right now, the goal is to make music and to laugh and to cry and dance and get to be really connected to all these beautiful souls all over the world,” he continued. “I’m emotional about it, obviously. It’s been a long journey. I know there’s gonna be a lot of moments where sometimes the songs and things within the songs might mean a lot more than they ever have.”
