Sometimes the best things in life come by simply asking for it.

Or in this case, voting for it.

NXT 2.0 celebrates its one-year anniversary with a huge celebratory show tonight, and NXT brass have decided to put the power in the hands of the people who deserve it: the WWE Universe. It’s been one wild year down in the Capitol Wrestling Center, as NXT completed its transformation from the black-and-gold brand into the dazzling and exciting NXT 2.0 that is helping shape the next generation of WWE Superstars.

Here’s to the past year, everybody — it was quite the ride. But the second year of NXT 2.0 promises to be even better than the first.

True to form, tonight’s show is loaded top-to-bottom with incredible matchups, exciting debuts, and promises of unforgettable moments, just like always.

It wouldn’t be a celebration of NXT 2.0’s first year without titles being defended that put this brand on the map, right? That’s why both the tag team titles and the North American Championship will be on the line tonight — with YOU having a big say in what goes down.

Polling has already closed for the NXT Tag Team Championship match, which will see Pretty Deadly defending their titles against the Creed Brothers. Over the weekend, fans voted for one of three possible stipulations for this showdown: a Tornado tag match, a No Disqualification match, or a Steel Cage match. One stipulation, in particular, must have run away with a landslide victory, because in a surprising moment on Monday Night Raw, the voting results were announced live, and it’s now official. Tonight, Pretty Deadly will clash with the Creed Brothers inside a 15-foot-high steel cage!

We have to hand it to you guys, you all really came through with this one. While any of these three stipulations would have made for an amazing match to watch, there’s nothing quite like a steel cage match. Just something about all four participants locked inside with no way out — it’s a fitting way for the tag team titles to be decided.

The other huge title match that’s taking place tonight will see reigning North American Champion Carmelo Hayes taking on … well, that’s up to you!

Polls are still open to decide who Hayes will defend his title against. In fact, we highly suggest you vote if you haven’t already. The polling website is still open, and all three possible challengers pose a threat to derail Carmelo Hayes’ title reign.

Von Wagner, Wes Lee, and Joe Gacy are all intriguing options, and these three men couldn’t be more different from one another.

If you think the brute strength and size of Von Wagner would be enough to overcome the wild athleticism and skill set of Hayes, then vote Wagner. If you want to see another match-of-the-night candidate inside the ring between two unbelievable, young, and talented Superstars, then vote Lee.

If you have a thing for bizarre, creepy dudes, vote Gacy. No judgment here, we promise.

While those two matches will serve as the de facto main events of the evening, there are still plenty more exciting matchups already announced, including the in-ring NXT 2.0 debut of Quincy Elliott!

Apparently, nothing’s cuter than a boy and his scooter, and after weeks of teaser videos, the Super Diva arrives in the Capitol Wrestling Center tonight to make a big statement to the world! Quincy Elliott has made splashes on NXT’s Peacock-exclusive show "Level Up" over the past few months — big enough splashes to be promoted to Tuesday nights!

With an over-the-top attitude that has won over the hearts of the fans in just a short time, Elliott is going to attempt to set fire to Tuesday nights. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for everyone now that he’s on NXT’s main stage.

But that’s not all: two huge tag team matches are set for tonight, as Zoey Stark and Nikkita Lyons will battle Kiana James and Arianna Grace, while Tony D’Angelo and Stacks collide with Cameron Grimes and a mystery partner! It’s clear that tag team wrestling will take center stage tonight in the CWC; it makes sense, as NXT has arguably the deepest roster of talented teams in all sports entertainment.

Of course, with a one-year anniversary celebration comes a very important moment: tonight we will see one man or woman being awarded the honor of being crowned the NXT 2.0 Superstar of the Year!

The Superstar of the Year award will be given to somebody who represents everything that NXT 2.0 is about. It will be given to somebody who perfectly exemplifies everything NXT 2.0 stands for. It will be given to somebody who has shown they will do whatever it takes to take the brand to the next level.

There are many individuals who have stepped up over the past year and put NXT on the map — and while there’s no indication yet of who will be given this prestigious accolade, we’d like to hereby nominate none other than Mandy Rose. With her NXT Women’s Championship reign currently at 321 days, Mandy has been an absolute tour de force over the entire last year of NXT action. She took a well-deserved vacation last week, but still managed to steal the spotlight from pretty much everything by posting a poolside photo that nearly broke the internet. What else could get her to put on some clothes and make her presence known on NXT 2.0 than being invited to receive the Superstar of the Year award?

It’s going to be a show for the ages, and we can’t wait to tune in tonight at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network to see how it all goes down!
