Famous in Love Stars Talk Romantic Finale Twist: Who Will Paige Choose?

The first season of Freeform’s Famous in Love is full of all the twists and turns you’d expect from a Marlene King-produced drama, and in true King fashion, the biggest cliffhangers are saved for the season finale. We’ve already discussed the first one — who shot Barrett Hopper?! — so it’s time to address the second: Will Paige choose Jake or Rainer?

TVLine spoke with all three actors involved in the love triangle — Bella Thorne, Carter Jenkins and Charlie DePew — for their thoughts:

THORNE | “I like Paige and Rainer together. Personally, when I’ve dated somebody not in the business, they just don’t understand. It’s easier to be with someone who understands that when I’m posting on social media all the time, it’s not just for fun. It literally pays my bills. … So we don’t really know which guy she’ll choose, but she gets with all the characters in the books at some point, so no one will be disappointed for too long.”

JENKINS | “Definitely Rainer, though I’m admittedly biased. When you’re playing a character, you get behind their point-of-view and you look out for their best interests. I think Paige and Rainer aren’t perfect people, but a relationship isn’t about two perfect people. It’s about two flawed people who make each other better, and I think that they do. Sorry, Jake!”

DEPEW | “I think Paige is confused, but I hope she ends up with Jake — at least for now. I just think that Jake has redeeming qualities that are hard to see. There will always be another opportunity to work on a movie, but love doesn’t come around very often. … And I’m a romantic. At Coachella, one of my buddies met up with this girl, and he left without getting her phone number. I was like, ‘What are you doing? You get back there right now!'”
